Supralithic Structures

Dotted about the Spur on almost exclusively uninhabited and tectonically dead worlds, supralithic structures are the remains of a civilization that once spanned explored space and are dated to nearly 1 million HRUs in age.  While normally entropy, environmental factors, and tectonic activity would have annihilated such structures over that timespan; supralithic constructions embody an unparalleled level of material science and are nearly chemically and atomically inert.  Such ruins range from individual artifacts to immense, continent-spanning cityscapes featuring organic shapes formed from a near-perfect alignment of crystalized matter, these ruins and their associated artifacts are effectively immune to physical or chemical damage.

Supralithic Structure
The Choir

While their language has proven nearly impossible to interpret and features a wide diversity of languages between inhabited planets and time periods, the rough translation of the collective term that the original supralithic builders used for themselves was "The Choir".  While little information is known about these aliens; recovered statuary and pictographs depict a multi-limbed, spider-like bodyplan with a unique trilateral symmetry, and point to a preference for damp, semi-aquatic habitats, despite the fact that almost every environment on which supralithic structures are found are dry and lifeless.  More confounding still is the relative uniformity in these artifacts' abandonments; all of which appear to have been forsaken by their original inhabitants alongside the desertification of their local environments simultaneously, regardless of the relative age of the ruins themselves.
